Edgar Cayce's Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) Guide

Unlock Your Potential: Explore the Mysteries at A.R.E. Guide

Step into a world of intuition, holistic health, and ancient wisdom at the Edgar Cayce's Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) in Virginia Beach. This unique center is dedicated to exploring the life and work of Edgar Cayce, the "Sleeping Prophet," who gave thousands of psychic readings on topics ranging from health and reincarnation to dreams and ancient civilizations. Whether you're a seasoned spiritual seeker or simply curious about the mysteries of the human mind, A.R.E. offers a fascinating and thought-provoking experience. The story of A.R.E. is intertwined with the life of Edgar Cayce (1877-1945). Cayce, a Kentucky native, discovered his psychic abilities early in life. He would enter a trance-like state and answer questions on a wide range of subjects, even though he had no conscious knowledge of the information he provided. These readings, meticulously documented, form the core of A.R.E.'s research and teachings. Founded in 1931, A.R.E. was established to study and disseminate Cayce's readings, providing a platform for individuals to explore their own psychic abilities and spiritual potential. At A.R.E., you can delve into Cayce's readings through the extensive library, attend workshops and lectures on topics like dream interpretation, meditation, and holistic healing, or explore the exhibits in the visitor center. Take a guided tour to learn more about Cayce's life and work, or participate in a group meditation session. The on-site bookstore offers a wide selection of books, CDs, and other resources related to Cayce's teachings. Don't miss the Health Center & Spa, offering massage, acupuncture, and other holistic therapies based on Cayce's recommendations. While there isn't a specific culinary tradition associated with A.R.E., the on-site cafe offers healthy and vegetarian options.
